Thanks to improved medical care, more seniors are living well into their 80s and 90s. Many are capable of maintaining their independence at home, but need to be sure their home is a “senior safe” environment. That’s what we do!

Here are some great reasons to do a Home Safety Inspection:

  • Reduce family stress – you do not have to worry about paying for expensive care or having your parents move in with you.

  • Seniors want to stay in their homes as long as possible, where they have familiar surroundings. It’s a lot like “comfort food” or a favorite easy chair. You can provide a safe home environment that allows your Mom and Dad to maintain their independence as long as possible.

  • Fall prevention means preventing expensive hospitalization and medical care for fall-related accidents.

  • Peace of mind for a senior’s family knowing they are safe in their own home.

Services we provide:

  • Help seniors adapt their home for safe everyday living.

  • Evaluate the exterior and interior of a home to pinpoint possible safety problems and provide suggestions to fix those problems.

  • Provide information and or products that will enable seniors to have a safer home, such as LED nightlights, non-skid rug mats and safety grab bars. More than 120 items on our checklist.

Common concerns of seniors about being able to stay at home are:

  • Having a home that someone with disabilities can use.

  • Being forced to move to a care facility because you couldn’t get around your own home.

  • Ability to pay for home modifications that would allow homeowners to remain at home.

  • Finding a reliable contractor or handyman to do home modifications.

  • Finding trusted information about home modifications.
